Yearbook Dedication
Each year, Riverside Christian School dedicates the yearbook to a very special individual. Last Friday, all RCS students gathered in the cafeteria for the announcement of the 2014-2015 yearbook dedication. After successfully keeping her dedication a secret, Mrs. Donna Peggins, RCS Teacher Aid, was very surprised that she was chosen.
Mr. VanBeek thanked Mrs. Peggins for all her hard work and love for our school and shared the following words from her dedication:
There really are no words to describe the dedication and service Donna Peggins has sacrificially given to Riverside Christian School over the past 10 years. Whether it is on campus, athletic events, fundraisers, at the grocery store, or over the phone, Donna will take the time to listen attentively and provide Christ-centered counsel. Her commitment to RCS doesn’t stop at the end of the school day. rather it’s a 24/7 passion.
Donna has been a member of the RCS family since 2005 when she joined our teacher aide and childcare staff. Her quick wit and love for practical jokes brought smiles to many people from the moment she began serving at Riverside.
Donna and her husband Anthony have three children all of whom have attended RCS through the years. Zachary(2011), Marry (2013), and Annalisa (2016). Annalisa will serve as ASB President for 2015-2016.
Many verses capture the loving servant Donna portrays day in and day out. but two in particular seem to reflect Donna’s heart most accurately. First, from Isaiah 6:8 “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saving, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for Us?’ And I said, ‘Here am I. Send me!” Then from the New Testament, “By this all men will know what you are My disciples, if you love on another.” John 13:35
Donna, thank you for all you do for our students and our school. We are so thankful to have you at Riverside Christian School.
