Friends from Haiti

Yesterday RCS students gathered together for an all school chapel with special guests Delamy and Elvie Bazilme visiting from Terra Blanche, Haiti. Delamny and Elvie are parents of RCS alumni Cassandre (’09),  Delwin (’10), and RCS Senior Danica Bazilme. Alongside the Haiti Foundation of Hope, the Bazilme’s have built a school that now educates over 900 students in PreK-12th grade, have established a full time Clinic of Hope staff by Haitians, built four water wells, given men and women opportunities through the Community Health Program, Women’s Trade School, and the Economic Development Program all while developing a thriving and growing church in Terra Blanche.

The Bazilme’s came to chapel to share with our students about how God has continually provided for their ministry in Terra Blanche over the past ten years and how wonderful it has been to partner with our school. Over the last six years, several RCS students and staff have served on mission trips to Haiti to help work in the medical clinic and run a VBS, and every year the entire school collects shoes, clothing and other supplies to send to Haiti. Catch up on the 2015 RCS Haiti Trip here.  We are thankful to have had the opportunity to hear from the Bazilme’s and worship God together in chapel.
