What an Evening with Bob Goff!
Monday night was not your average night at Riverside Christian School. Close to six hundred people filled the gym with over 200 helium balloons dancing across the stage, hallways, and entranced, as all were expectant to spend an incredible evening with Bob Goff.
Bob Goff, author of New York Times Best Seller, Love Does, not only filled the room with incredible stories of extravagant faith and love but had the crowd laughing throughout the evening. Bob’s message was simple. “Love God, Love People, Do Stuff with those people.” Throughout his talk, Bob encouraged everyone to go and be with the people whom Jesus spent his time with here on earth; the people that make you uncomfortable and the people that are different from you.
As Bob wrapped up the evening, he joined the audience and had everyone join hands in prayer. His prayer was that we would be bold in our love, be bold in our faith, and that we would be reminded daily to be with people and show them the gospel through our love and actions.
Afterwards, all VIP ticket holders received a chance to meet Bob, get his autograph on their Love Does books (sold by Inklings Bookstore at the event), and enjoy a cake pop! Why cakepops? Bob encouraged everyone to give a cake pop to people that creep you out or are different with you. A simple gesture that closes the gap and allows relationship and love to take place.
Because at the end of the day, Love Does.
