National Day of Prayer 2016

National Day of Prayer 2016

Thursday, May 5th is National Day of Prayer and RCS held a special chapel as a way to come together as a school body and intentional pray for our nation.

This year’s theme for National Day of Prayer is Wake Up America, emphasizing the need for individuals, corporately and individually, to return to the God of our Fathers in reverence for His Holy Name. To further highlight our theme, we’ve chosen Isaiah 58:1a as our Scripture for this year:  “Shout it aloud, do not hold back. Raise your voice like a trumpet.

Members of the RCS Worship team led students in worship. After, discipleship leaders broke off into groups with each grade level and guided them through a time of prayer. Students and staff prayed for our government, our military, media, business, education, the Church, and families.

Let us continue to seek the Lord in prayer for all decisions, at all times.

“He who forms the mountains, creates the wind, and reveals His thoughts to man, He who turns dawn to darkness and treads the high places of the earth – the LORD God Almighty is His name.” – Amos 4:13
