First Day Of School Recap
We are off to a great start here at RCS as we enter into the second week of school. On the first day of school, the excitement in the air was palpable. The hallways were full of smiling faces and kids full of excitement to start the new school year. Faculty and staff prepared all summer long and anxiously awaited the moments when they were able to welcome new students and greet returning students. As we embark into the 2016-17 school year we are excited to welcome 364 new and returning students to our campus. We know that God has great things planned for each and every student here this year!
#FirstDayOfSchool
On the first day of school the enrollment office posted a photo contest on facebook encouraging parents and families to post their students #RCSFirstDayOfSchool photo. A winner was chosen at random and the prize went to Maigan Sutton! Check out Maigan’s photo below. Thank you to all who participated! School Theme
The start of a new school also means the unveiling of another school theme. This year the ASB Leadership Team decided upon “God’s Love: 1 John 4:19.” The ASB worked very hard to come up with this theme; be on the lookout for a blog post in the next couple weeks with more information. 
With a week under our belts, faculty and staff have hit the ground running and are so excited to partner with families this year to prepare students to be Rooted in Christ and Ready for Tomorrow.
Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
