Academics

Elementary: Kindergarten-6th Grade

The Riverside Christian Elementary School offers a complete academic education as well as a spiritual foundation complementing the teaching of both home and church. We maintain high expectations for every child and offer a rigorous yet developmentally-appropriate program. Students in K-6th grades have the opportunity to attend chapel (1-6), PE, art, music, library and recess. Students begin using the computer lab in 2nd grade. Parents are invited to attend chapel each Thursday; 1st-3rd grade from 8:30am-9:30am and 4th-6th grade from 9:30am-10:30am.

Junior High: 7th and 8th Grade

Students experience many physical and emotional changes that can substantially impact the student's academic growth during the junior high years. Riverside Christian School's faculty and staff work very hard to partner with parents during these all important transitional years as students are prepared for senior high.

Many families have chosen our school because of its moderate size, focus on Christian character training, instrumental music program, visual arts focus, strong parent support and involvement, and the high quality education provided to our students by a highly qualified staff. In addition to weekly chapel, the junior high student participates in a seven period day which includes Bible, math, science, English, social studies, P.E., and an elective.

High School: 9th-12th Grade

Many families have chosen our high school because of its moderate size, focus on Christian character training, instrumental music program, visual arts focus, strong parent support and involvement, and the high quality education provided to our students by a highly qualified staff. Riverside is committed to a strong literacy and mathematics program. In addition to weekly chapel, the high school student participates in a modified block schedule which usually includes Bible, math, science, English, social studies, and variety of electives.
